Additionally, Deven Parekh serves on the Technical Advisory Board of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The FCC regulates interstate and international communications by cable, satellite, wire, television, and radio in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories.

The FCC’s Technical Advisory Council is made up of varied range of leading technical experts. They assist in providing the technical expertise the FCC requires to determine important areas of innovation and develop informed technology policies supporting the U.S.’s competitiveness in the world economy.

The Technical Advisory Council is helping the FCC to continue to promote the advancement of ideas and recommendations in the National Broadband Plan. This includes how broadband communications can be part of the solution for the delivery and cost containment of healthcare, for energy and environmental conservation, for innovation in education, and in the development of jobs.
